Homemade desserts were abundant and delicious and were brought by Norma Roberson, Anna Mason, Shelby Modlin, Joyce Hodges, and Dhu Johnston. We honored another of our WWII veterans. Jesse Powers was presented with a framed reproduction of his entry in the National WWII Memorial registry. He should have been included in last month’s presentations but yours truly dropped the ball and let him slip thru the cracks. Despite that oversight. the WWII vets surprised me by presenting me with a beautiful plaque expressing their appreciation for my small efforts. Thanks, guys.
